Tides

Hello readers,

in my reading group we are leaning about tides.

we have to find out how the tides work,about low tide and high tide we have to answer some quesions for our reading group.

What is the main things that causes tides? the moon and the sun.

What is the time difference in hightide each day? a cycle of 12 hours 25 minutes.

These are my questions:

How do the tides work?

How much water is in high tide?

    What would be great Tyran is putting your answers into long sentences.I know the moon and sun has an effect on the tide but what is it about those that create tides.For example-The moon is higher in the sky at 12pm therefore the tide is out because the moon is further away from Earth.
